SUMMARY:Planting Party at the Park
DESCRIPTION:We have a great event by Forsyth Creek Week at Fourth of July Park! Learn how to select and install plants for the wetland and creek banks. Join the plant party and help make the park beautiful with native\, shade-loving plants. Volunteers may plant as few or as many plugs\, small containers and sticks we’ll hammer into ground. These native plants are greatly needed to improve water quality\, stabilize soil and provide quality habitat for our native birds\, pollinators and amphibians. Dress as you would for gardening. Tools will be available but you can bring your own gloves\, mallet\, trowel or shovel. \nPre-registration not necessary\, but requested to ensure enough materials are on-hand.
