SUMMARY:Kernersville Recreation+ Event Center Grand Opening Party
DESCRIPTION:We welcome the public to visit and explore the new Kernersville Recreation + Event Center.\nThis has been a long time coming – its been over 40 years waiting for our own recreation center! We are so excited to show the public our facility that broke ground on Saturday June 10th 2023. The center is located at 1020 Shields Rd on the corner of Shields and Union Cross. The event is Saturday December 14th\, 2024\, doors opening at 6:00pm. During this time there will be holiday music to enjoy yourself as you explore the facility\, there are staff stationed at each room to expand on that amenity’s usage. The facility has two separate gyms\, a stage\, multi-purpose room\, classroom\, fitness room\, indoor walking track\, conference room and our administrative offices. Additionally\, you can contact the Kernersville Parks & Recreation Facility Manager\, Adam Carpenter at acarpenter@toknc.com or 336-996-3039. \nReservations\nWe know everyone is interested in this topic so we will give a little snippet of confirmed information. The facility has multiple features to reserve\, we will offer two room and two courts!  There will be the Legacy Multipurpose Room\, for parties and large meetings\, as well as the Conference Room\, for smaller meetings. We will also have the option to reserve a basketball court\, which can be set up as a full size or short-run basketball courts or volleyball courts. Reservations will become available online through ActiveNet or by calling the office at 336-996-3062 starting January 6th.
