After gather public input and conceptualizing plans\, the Board of Alderman approved the plan at the Tuesday October 5th 2021 meeting. Then we met with architects and engineers to get a more detailed plan created. All the construction plans are set in stone and we are happy to start building! Details about the journey to get to this moment can be found on the Recreation Center Planning Page. \nThe morning of Saturday we will host the Groundbreaking Ceremony with speeches from Mayor Dawn Morgan\, Director Ernie Pages and additional special guests. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to have the 2021 Honeybee Festival.\nIt will look different from years past due to the timeframe we have to make magic happen.\n  \nThe festival will be held on its traditional day\, World Honey Bee Day which is the third Saturday in August. That’s August 21st 2021 for those not near a calendar. We will not have Mary’s Bee Hive with the amusements rides as well as no performances this year.
