There will be a mailbox for your child to send their letter to Santa located at the Leo Burke Memorial Gazebo in Harmon Park. Please be sure to include a self-addressed\, stamped envelope with the message. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 26th Annual Downtown Trick or Treat with a twist: a drive-thru! To promote social distancing we’ll be driving through the Halloween route. The roads will be closed to all other traffic in downtown. To familiarize yourself with the route watch the “Drive-Thru Video” on the Facebook Event page.  Trick or Treaters will need to stay in their vehicles and the downtown businesses will come to you from the sidewalk! \n

SUMMARY:Veteran's Archery Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Greensboro and Kernersville Parks and Recreation departments will offer an introductory archery clinic for military veterans 12-3 pm\, Thursday\, October 22 at Civitan Park\, 309 Nelson St.\, Kernersville. This clinic is free but registration is required. Equipment will be provided. Lunch will also be provided by Zaxbys. \n  \nSafety precautions will be taken such as temperature checks and all participants and staff will be asked to wear a mask unless they can safely social distance. On site there will be extra masks\, gloves and hand sanitizer. All equipment will be sanitized after each use and targets will be set up 8 to 10 feet apart. SUMMARY:Kernersville Haunted Drive-In
DESCRIPTION:We are having an event to celebrate the spooky season! Join us for our Kernersville Haunted Drive-In presented by Ledo Pizza on October 17th!\nThe feature film is Hocus Pocus and the park will be transformed for a Haunted night of fun with the Sanderson Sisters! \nGiven our Drive-In format\, we have limited spaces available. You must pre-register to get your ticket to enter the venue! \nCar tickets are $25–  One car ticket needed per vehicle\, each car ticket comes with 2 commemorative shirts and a sponsor goodie bag!  \nAdditional shirts will be available for purchase\, please do NOT purchase additional car tickets just for the shirt. \nNo entry without a ticket!\n  \nSafety Event Guidelines:\n– There are a limited number of spaces & pre-registration is REQUIRED due to limited amount of spaces available. ONE registration Per Vehicle. Do not purchase multiple tickets if not needed! \nIf the event is sold out\, please add your name to the waitlist \n\nNOTE: There will be strobe lights present at the entrance of the event. Please contact us at 336-564-2241 if you are concerned about photosensitivity and seizures. \n\n– Sound will be broadcast through an FM channel on your vehicle’s radio or portable device. \n– For everyone’s safety\, we will be limiting interaction as much as possible. The only interaction will be briefly at check-in\, food vendors\, and pictures near our decorations. \n– KPRD staff will be practicing all health and safety guidelines that are recommended at the time of the event. \n– We prefer you remain in your vehicle for watching the movie\, but if you need additional space you must utilize the space in your designated parking spot. \n– Note on vehicles: We reserve the right to park extra tall vehicles (large suvs\, trucks and mini-vans) in spots that will help preserve the best possible sight lines for all vehicles. We encourage you to stay in your vehicle\, should you arrive in a pickup truck and plan to sit in the rear we will park you in the last row. RVs and campers are not allowed. \n– Restrooms will be available for emergencies. Lines will be marked to maintain a 6ft distance and monitored to limit entry to one family at a time. We recommend having a mask on hand in the event 6 ft. distancing is breached. \n– The playground will be closed. \n– Please be respectful to everyone around you. \n– Apple Babies Gourmet Candy Apples and Treats and Kona Ice of Kernersville will be on site for food – we will email out their menus closer to the event date! \n– Carry In – Carry Out – please keep the area as pristine as you found it\, by taking any trash with you. There will also be trash cans stationed that you may utilize. \n– The Ivey M Redmon Sports Complex is alcohol and tobacco-free. No pets allowed for this event. \nRegistration Closed\n– Additional shirts will be available for purchase at a later date.
