Youth Futsal

The Town of Kernersville Parks and Recreation Department will be providing a Coed Recreational Indoor Futsal program for youth players in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. This 6 week program will create a fun and positive sporting environment to grow developmental skills. Our coaches will emphasis having fun, learning the game, sportsmanship, player development, and healthy competition.

 

Groups will be broken down by grade; Elementary K-2, Elementary 3-5, and Middle.

 

The Kernersville Recreation and Events Center (1020 Shields Road) has a sport court (which is also used for basketball and volleyball) so have your kids wear Gym soccer shoes or Tennis shoes. Cleats/turf shoes are not allowed and shin guards are required.

 

Trainings provided will be used to provide players with skills focused on improving upon the fundamentals of futsal/soccer as well enhancing knowledge of the game through practice.

2026 SUMMER SEASON

Elementary

  • Dates: July 1st – August 5th
  • Days: Wednesdays
  • Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm (Practice times will be held on Wednesday prior to game week) 
  • Age Groups:
    • Elementary K,1,2
    • Elementary 3,4,5
  • Location: Kernersville Recreation Center, 1020 Shields Road 
  • Fee: $50.00/person
  • Registration: Opens Monday, May 11th 9:00am until Wednesday, July 1st 12:00pm

Middle School

  • Dates: July 1st – August 5th
  • Days: Wednesdays
  • Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm (Practice times will be held on Wednesday prior to game week) 
  • Ages: Middle 6,7,8
  • Location: Kernersville Recreation Center, 1020 Shields Road
  • Fee: $50.00/person
  • Registration: Opens Monday, May 11th 9:00am until Wednesday, July 1st 12:00pm

 

You’ve registered your child for youth futsal, so what’s next? Wednesdays July 1st will be training and evaluations. This day will be used to help evaluate your child’s skills so we can place them on the right team/training squad that fits them. Please make sure they attend this sessions. The session times will be as follows:

5:30-6:30 Elementary K,1,2

6:30-7:30 Elementary 3,4,5

7:30-8:30  Middle

We will also have sample available to confirm jersey size.
