KPRD Pickleball Tournament Rules of Play – Kernersville Parks and Recreation

Random Blind Draw & Round Robin Tournament Schedule will be posted on Friday, April 5
Round Robin play will be used for seeding for the Single Elimination Tournament
Tie Breaker- 1. Head-to-Head, 2. Point Differential, 3. Coin Flip
KPRD will provide balls and nets
Warm up – 1 minute before start of game
Serve- Round Robin team listed first on the schedule has the choice of side or serve. In the Single Elimination Bracket the higher seed has the choice of side or serve.
Scoring- First team to score 11 points, winning by 2 points. We are not playing rally scoring.
Change side after one team reaches 6 points
1 – 2 minute time-out per team per game.
Officiating- all games are loosely officiated by the players (no refs), we rely on the spirit of sportsmanship and honesty to keep the matches fun and enjoyable for all. General Pickleball rules will govern this event
Code of Conduct- KPRD encourages clean and sportsmanlike conduct on the court and in the spectator area. Bad sportsmanship, fighting, profanity, or arguing/threatening of Town employees or volunteers will not be permitted and are grounds for dismissal of the tournament
