Internship & Volunteer Opportunities
Kernersville Parks & Recreation offers internship opportunities to provide a professional learning opportunity through meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. We provide the student with an environment for career exploration and development. Hosting interns also allows us to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, offer guidance about the current workforce and build a connection for future employees.

Community Recreation
Interns will be exposed to a wide variety of programs and events for the Kernersville Community. These programs & events can range from community concerts/movies, holiday-specific events, festivals, fitness programs, art programs & more. Â Students will receive hands-on experience in the community recreation setting working alongside our Recreation Superintendent in assisting with day to day operations as well as contributing new program ideas to be planned for our new Recreation Center in 2025.
