Youth Flag Football

NFL FLAG KERNERSVILLE YOUTH  FLAG FOOTBALL

Kernersville Parks & Recreation (KPRD) is excited to offer a new Youth Flag Football league!  This program is in partnership with with NFL Flag! The primary goal of our flag football program is to help players develop their physical, mental, and emotional skills through the game of football. Winning is not the main focus at the recreational level; instead, we prioritize skill development, understanding the rules, and fostering a love for the game. We at KPRD believes that fun should be at the core of every practice and game, as this is what keeps players coming back. We provide a safe, non-contact environment where players can focus on learning the game without the fear of injury. Proper technique, sportsmanship, and respect for one another will always come first!

2026 Spring SEASON

• Dates: March 14th- May 30th 
• Days: Saturdays
• Time:  1:00pm-5:00pm (Game and Practice times will vary from week to week) 
• Age Groups:
  • 6-8
  • 9-11
  • 12-14
• Location: Cash-Bagley Sports Complex, 4700 Old Hollow Road 
• Fee: $85.00/person,
• Registration: ends Friday, March 13th 12:00pm 
• Late Registration:$95.00/person, Saturday, March 14th-March 23rd  12:00pm

Format Highlights

–       Coed
–       5 vs 5
–       6 games
–       (2) 15-minute halves

–       Practices 45 minuets prior to kickoff

• You’ve registered your child for Youth Flag Football, so what’s next? Saturdays, March 14th and 21st will be training and evaluations. These two days will be used to help evaluate your child’s skills so we can place them on the right team/training squad that fits them. Please make sure they attend at least one of these sessions. The sessions times will be as follows:
• 1:00pm– 2:00pm  Ages:6-8
• 2:15pm – 3:15pm  Ages:9-11
• 3:30pm – 4:30pm  Ages:12-14
• Jerseys and gear will be ordered from NFL Flag.com after evaluations
• Practices will start 45 minuets before designated game time
