Fall Bucket List

Uncategorized

Now I know this North Carolina weather never wants to cooperate – but it is still Fall until December 21st. So we will hold strong to our Fall vibe and hope the weather gets on board. ๐Ÿ˜… Keyword: hope! Needless to say we still want to share our Fall Bucket list with you! If you check off any activities on the list be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram!

2019 Fall Bucket List

    • Go for a walk

We have miles of trails for you to choose from! If you want a challenge visit Ivey M Redmon Sports Complex where we host multiple cross country meets all year long for a 5K or 2 Mile option, or for a leisurely stroll visit Fourth of July Park for a 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile route.

    • Fall Photo Shoot! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ“ท

Our parks are turning into a fiery palette of red, orange and yellow hues. Experience the breathtaking sight of our trees ablaze in the colors of fall! Harmon Park is always a great backdrop for photos!

    • Festivities are here!

We will have Christmas Around Downtown on Saturday December 7th, and the night ending with the annual Kernersville Christmas Tree Lighting. Shop during the day to knock items off your Christmas list and then we will have hot chocolate, carolers, and best of all Santa Clause & Friends to light the tree – bringing in the Holiday Season!

    • Bonfire ๐Ÿ”ฅ

What’s this weather without a great fire with s’mores and great company! Go on to the store to get your chocolate, graham crackers & big marshmallow and call some friends over. This is where we truly hope the weather will cooperate! Safety is also a priority, so ensure you abide by your jurisdictions rules to safely host a bonfire! Such as only burning untreated wood 25+ feet away from a structure. Contact the Fire Marshall’s office for more information.

    • Get crafty!

Fall is the perfect time for crafting! Whether its solo or with the family. Your creation can be a self-care outlet, a new piece for your seasonal decor, or even created to gift someone. If you would like for us to host more Pop Up Craft Classes like our November 14th class, please let us know! If you like to make the craft yourself local craft stores host classes or if you like to buy hand crafted goods you can reach out to the Kernersville Craft Guild.

    • Carve Pumpkins ๐ŸŽƒ

This could be a part of “Get Crafty” but it’s Fall and pumpkins need a section to themselves! We have so many pumpkin patches around us, so donate to a great cause or support a local farmer to get one (or three)! Once you’ve got your pumpkin the possibilities are endless! From the classic jack-o-lantern face to witches and more. If carving isn’t your cup of tea then painting is always an option. Its great decor for your front porch!
