Hello Everyone!

With March knocking on our front door, we would like to share some information on reservations. With our new registration system we are now able to take reservations online again!!

We have a total of four (4) shelters that can be reserved this year by the half-day or full-day. Half days are 10am to 3pm, or 4pm to 9pm for $40.00 and full days are 10am to 9pm for $80.00. Those four shelter are located throughout two parks; three shelters at Fourth of July Park and one at Harmon Park.

Civitan Fitness Park is is still under renovations therefore we aren’t able to take reservation, but we will inform you when it is ready.

 

Reservation Process

Once on the registration website (ActiveNet) you will need to create a new account or ensure you are logged into yours; this will enable you to register for programs, events, and reserve shelters. We did transfer the accounts from the old system to the new one, BUT not all accounts were successfully transferred in that process so if you run into an error while creating your new account please call us to assist. 336-996-3062

 

Shelters

Shelters are available for reservation from March 1 through October 31. Outside that time frame, shelters are on a “First Come, First Serve” basis. The shelters are available for a half-day at $40.00 or a full day for $80.00. The half-day is 10am-3pm or 4pm-9pm, the full day is 10am – 9pm. Rotary Park is available to reserve as well, but only for one time slot to account for Farmer’s Market days.

Reservation are made by selecting ‘Reservations’, searching and selecting the facility you would like to rent, on that facilities page you will select the date you would like, this will prompt you for which time block you would like. Enter the number of participants then click through to continue the process of paying for the reservation. Reservation fees are non-refundable.

Gazebo

Don’t forget about the Leo Burke Gazebo at Harmon Park, the gazebo is available for reservation year round. Reservations are available for 5-hour blocks for $150.00 or 10 hour blocks for $300.00. The blocks are either 7am-12pm or 2pm-7pm. We don’t allow temporary holds on facilities, we require full payment with reservation.

Reservations can be made through the same process as shelters; but note that the gazebo is set to ‘Request Only’. This means the system will allow you to select the day and time BUT WONT prompt for payment. To request the facility, once on our registration website, select ‘Reservations’, search and select the facility you would like to rent, on that facilities page you will select the date you would like, this will prompt you for which time block you would like. Enter the number of participants then click through to continue the process. As staff, we will receive the request and ensure we have a Special Use Permit. We will be prompted to approve/deny the request for the facility. If your request is ‘Accepted’ it will advise you to pay that fee. Reservation fees are non-refundable.

Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is now available for reservations on a case-by-case review. Reservations are subject to availability and must be made two(2) full weeks in advance. You are able to reserve the building in it’s entirety for $90.00/hours.

Reservations for the recreation center are made through a different process. You will have to call us here at the Kernersville Community Recreation Center 336-996-3062. The payment will need to be paid in full, we will no longer accept a deposit payment to secure the reservation(allowing the remainder to paid at a later date). Reservation fees are non-refundable.
