Kernersville Parks & Recreation is open to hosting interns! Candidates will assist with an array of compelling programs while with us. Interns will be part of a small and dynamic team, you’ll have the opportunity to gain skills in one of our two divisions: community recreation or therapeutic recreation.
Each intern experience is catered to what you want to learn! We offer part-time or full-time schedule, clerical or administrative duties in conjunction with division specific task from creating event logistics to accessing participants through the APIED process to program and event evaluations. We will work with you and adapt your schedule to offer exposure to the elements of your field of study that you want to truly learn about – no two internships are the same!

Internship Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Complete a Town of Kernersville application
- Able to pass background check and drug test
- Have a valid driver license and/or reliable transportation
