Even though this Carolina weather isn’t cooperating, it is Fall. That means the year is winding down, BUT for us here at Parks and Recreation we still love having events for you to attend. We have three special events that round out the year: the Pumpkin Run, Downtown Trick or Treat, and the Christmas Tree Lighting. Write these dates in your calendar to be a part of the fun!
Pumpkin Run – Saturday October 19th 🎃
It is a 5K and 1 Mile event, at Fourth of July Park. Registration is available now through Friday October 18th at 4:00pm and the day of the event. Adult is $20, Youth is $12 (the prices went down from last year!) You AND your fur baby are encouraged to come in costume – makes the run (or walk) more fun! Information Here
Downtown Trick or Treat – Thursday October 31st 🍬
Classic event right here! We partner with the Chamber of Commerce and the Police Department to host a safe, fun, and candy filled event for your children. Trick or Treat throughout the downtown businesses in your Halloween costume. Don’t forget to stop by Haunted Harmon Park as well! Information Here
Christmas Tree Lighting – Saturday December 7th 🎄
It truly feels like the holiday season is underway once we attend the Kernersville Christmas Tree Lighting. Weather you need to bundle up in, carols, hot chocolate, tons of Christmas lights and a delightful guest appearance from Santa himself!! Information Here
