Fall is in the Air

Uncategorized

It’s Fall until December 21st, so we will hold strong to our Fall vibe and hope the weather gets on board. Needless to say we still want to share our Fall Bucket list with you! If you check off any activities on the list be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram!

2020 Fall Bucket List

    • Go for a walk

We have miles of trails for you to choose from! If you want a challenge visit Ivey M Redmon Sports Complex where we host multiple cross country meets all year long for a 5K or 2 Mile option, or for a leisurely stroll visit Fourth of July Park for a 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile route.

    • Go apple picking 🍏 🍎

What is fall without a trip to a farm! We always go for pumpkin patches and hayrides but picking apples should be a part of the fun too. For those in the Triad area, Triad Moms on Main have a list setup for you.

    • Stargazing ✨ 🌟

On a chilly but clear night, bundle up in the backyard and look up. Point out constellations or see a meteor shower! The American Meteor Society has a list of the upcoming showers, the next shower will peak on October 20th-21st.

    • Bonfire πŸ”₯

What’s this weather without a great fire with s’mores and great company! Go on to the store to get your chocolate, graham crackers & big marshmallow and call some friends over. This is where we truly hope the weather will cooperate! Safety is also a priority, so ensure you abide by your jurisdictions rules to safely host a bonfire! Such as only burning untreated wood 25+ feet away from a structure. Contact the Fire Marshall’s office for more information.

    • Get crafty!

Fall is the perfect time for crafting! Whether its solo or with the family. Your creation can be a self-care outlet, a new piece for your seasonal decor, or even created to gift someone. If you would like for us to host more Pop Up Craft Classes where we walk you step by step through the creation, please let us know!

    • Carve Pumpkins πŸŽƒ

This could be a part of “Get Crafty” but it’s Fall and pumpkins need a section to themselves! We have so many pumpkin patches around us, so donate to a great cause or support a local farmer to get one (or three)! Once you’ve got your pumpkin the possibilities are endless! From the classic jack-o-lantern face to witches and more. If carving isn’t your cup of tea then painting is always an option. Its great decor for your front porch!
