The Honeybee Festival is held on the third Saturday in August; as hot as it is in August there is a reason for the day we select. Our festival is hosted on World Honey Bee Day, which was originally titled National Honey Bee Day in 2009 and was formally recognized with a proclamation issued by the Secretary of Agriculture, Thomas J. Vilsek. The day grew rapidly bringing awareness to the benefits and environmental needs of honey bees.
2023 will be the 48th time hosting this event, and it just keeps getting better! Today, the Kernersville Honeybee Festival consists of over 100+ vendors and attracts well over 7,000 spectators. We will be at Fourth of July Park from 10am-5pm. There are food, games, crafts, and a kid’s area! If you would like to know who has been accepted so far visit the Exhibitors Page.

Also, we would love your assistance for this year’s Honeybee Festival! If you or a group of individuals would like to volunteer and help make sure this event is one to remember just give us a call! Volunteers are a big help for making our special events run smoothly. We have time slots available from 6am – 10am, 10am – 2pm & 3pm-6pm. Volunteers will be responsible for various tasks depending on their time slot, and task could include assisting vendors find their spot, unload/load if needed, monitoring the photo booth and assisting with photos as well as handing out giveaways. We are looking to have at least 10 volunteers per shift. Call us at 336-996-3062 for more information.
